- The Richmond Crusade for Voters called for the School Board to replace RPS Superintendent Jason Kamras, about which almost everyone had an opinion on and which fell mostly flat.
- Willie Hilliard appears to be a candidate for the 6th District City Council seat, challenging 20+ year incumbent Ellen Robertson
